sneakerhead vs. sneaker enthusiast

Recently, I have been asked to explain the difference between a sneakerhead and a sneaker enthusiast.  By my definition a "sneakerhead" is someone who buys and collects rare shoes.  Sneakerheads will usually buy the same pair of shoes multiple times in order to have a collecting pair as well as a "beatup" pair for everyday wear. A "sneaker enthusiast" is someone who has a great taste in sneakers but does not have an actual collection. They are usually not willing to spend the required amount of money to obtain a pair of shoes when the cost begins to get too high.

Holiday 2010

Nike SB's newest releases, set to launch in during the holiday season of 2010, feature 4 new dunks (1 high, 1 mid, 2 low) as well as others.  Nike will also be releasing a modified version of the mid dunk (shown below)
This shoe features a slight twist to the original design by adding a double swoosh, corduroy side panels, and a green tongue tag and lining underneath the lace holes.

Batmans

These are the Batman dunks I mentioned in my last post.  Unlike the Venoms, which were actually re released a short time ago, the Batmans are quite hard to find for a relatively cheap price or even in the right size.  I am looking to buy a pair so if anyone knows where to buy REAL ones please let me know :)

New shoes

After ordering a pair of shoes last week they finally came in the mail yesterday.  These are called the Dunk High SB "Venoms" since they resemble Spidermans nemesis.  These shoes were orginally released in 2008 in the Superheroes/Villians pack.  The Spiderman and Batman mids were also released along with these shoes and the Boba Fett's were later added.
